The Supply Chain Engineering Manager will be responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement methodology to lead the design of complex Supply Chain Solutions for current and future operations. Responsible for the management / coaching of other engineers. Provides regular and proactive communications to customers and Ryder Senior Management. Ideal candidate would have experience in the following: A: Engineering Design ExperienceA: Labor Management ProcessA: Facility Layout A: Engineering Standards/ProcessesA: Design and Implementation of Conveyor AutomationThis position requires extensive travel, approximately 70:80 throughout various sites.Bachelors degree required in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experienceMinimum of eight years of related experienceADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: MBA and/or Industrial Engineering Masters Degree preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred, attainment is required within 12 monthsAmerican Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification is preferredDemonstrated proficiency in: MS Office MS Project and/or Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems (TMS and WMS) MS Visio Statistical and/or TransportationAnalysis Tools (Minitab, SAS, Matlab, i2, Tmod, ILPS) Network analysis tools and/or Simulation and Inventory/Network Design tools Mapping analysis tools, preferredIndependently identifies process gaps then recommends and implements process improvementApplies company methodologies and tools to design distribution and/or transportation operationsEstablishes and implements performance measuresActively supports the sales process and creates high quality solutions and designsProvides proposal presentation support and developmentMakes Inventory and/or Supply Chain strategy recommendationsEffectively interacts with customers, Sales, and Operations to create value propositionsConfers with Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutionsManages multiple and complex Supply Chain projectsProvides resource planning based on priorities and demand signalsMay assist in providing logistics training as part of Ryder Academy Supervises a team of engineers (hire, promote, coach, development and performance management) Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
