Apply todayLine Cook Position Summary As one of the most important members of our team, the line cook helps to deliver the perfect JoeA?s Crab Shack experience to ourguests by preparing, seasoning, and cooking perfect food. The line cook is also responsible for cleaning and maintaining spotless kitchen areas.Line Cook ResponsibilitiesFollow plate specifications and recipes to prepare and cook soups, meats, seafood, sauces, vegetables, desserts and other delicious food spect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food:handling practices.Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as smelling or temping with thermometers.Quickly and correctly portion, arrange, and garnish food.Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and fryers.Adhere to timing standards for all products and plete other general line cook tasks as assigned.Similar Job Titles / Key Words: Prep Cook, Cook, Food PreparationLine Cook Minimum RequirementsUpon hire, must complete a four day training program involving reading, observation, and assisting.Must pass final testing and management evaluation prior to assuming job responsibilities.Must have clear written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to work in a team environment.Must have the physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job description.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job.
