Position Summary:
Assist the Director of Admissions in the admission process within the rules, standards and laws of Resource Treatment Facility. Employee will assist with obtaining and reviewing previous records on potential referrals. Employee assist in patient transfer including travel plans when needed. Employee will possibly be needed to transport residents to and from all 92 counties in Indiana and surrounding states. This employee maintains a positive and professional rapport with referral sources, family members, and representatives from other community resources. Assist the Director of Admissions with all walk-in or telephone inquiries regarding admission to the facility and is expected to follow through with completing any assessments, referral inquiries with the Director of Admissions and/or Director of Clinical Services and making all contact with the referral source regarding approval or denial on potential admission as well as setting up placement dates. Assisting as needed with meeting face-to-face with new admissions, their referral source and family members to tour the facility (as they are present), complete all necessary admission paperwork, and explain the program and answer questions that may arise. Overall, assisting the Director of Admissions for making the admission process a pleasant experience and a smooth transition for all parties involved.
Works as a hourly employee in accordance with established policies as outlined in the employee handbook. The employee in this position is expected to give four weeks notice prior to voluntary resignation. A probationary period of 90 days is required.
+ Bachelor s degree (BA, BS, BSW) from an accredited four-year college or university required in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Nursing, or related Child Development or Human Services field
+ Knowledgeable about children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues.
+ Knowledgeable about childhood development.
+ Ability to prepare, present and review oral and written information and detailed reports.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
+ Experience working in a residential treatment facility preferred.
+ Experience in marketing, public relations, interviewing and/or counseling people preferably in a residential treatment facility.
+ Computer data entry.
+ Must possess and maintain valid Indiana driver s license and auto insurance.
+ Must possess good interpersonal skills to work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff, as well as communicating with family members and outside agencies in a professional manner.
+ Minimum 21 years of age.

+ Geographical knowledge of Indiana s 92 counties and surrounding states.

+ Knowledgeable of basic clinical principles related to treatment programs.

+ Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
+ Knowledge of PC operations and software. Good typing skills.
Physical, mental, special demands and working conditions:
+ May have some exposure to communicable/infectious diseases.
+ May have some risk of injury from assaultive/abusive residents.
+ May be exposed to disagreeable conditions.
+ Ability to work assigned hours per week.
+ Ability to walk, sit, stand, for long periods of time.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Ability to run, squat, and kneel.
