Job Description:/h3:
Successful trend setting north side Indianapolis restaurant is seeking a dynamic leader for the role of General Manager.
Responsibilities:
:For the operation of a two meal:period restaurant serving elevated contemporary cuisine.
:Responsible for all FOH and BOH operations
:directly supervises the executive chef, and restaurant assistant managers.
:Every aspect of this business falls within the purview of the General Manager:
:Concept integrity, staffing excellence, quality assurance, guest relations, marketing and promotional activities and financial performance.
:The General Manager reports directly to ownership.
Expected Results:
:The community must perceive the Restaurant as being an exceptionally operated independent restaurant
:Local and regional press recognition as one of the best restaurants in the Indianapolis area
:Must achieve top:line sales goals and bottom:line profitability
results/expectations; including revenue from a la carte dining; events, and cost control.
Qualifications:
:Education : College Degree : preferred
:Experience : Ten years of progressive restaurant management experience. Independent restaurant experience a plus. Some culinary experience desired. Menu and beverage creation program creation preferred.
:High levels of energy, pride, and passion
:Demonstrated leadership in delivering the highest level of guest service
:Solid financial acumen in budgeting, financial statement responsibility, understanding accounting principles for income statement and balance sheet
:Excellent independent restaurant marketing skills
:Web and technology proficient : thorough internet understanding, best practices, results driven
:Complete focus on excellence and quality in every management, staff, and guest experience
:Well rounded teaching/training capabilities
:Capable of near and long term strategic thinking and plan execution
:Able and willing to take well thought out risks
:Team player and leader who selects the best staff and insures a group of A players are in place
:Knowledge of
global/international cuisines and beverage products
:Outstanding oral and written communication skills
:Ability to implement new systems in all areas of the operation
:Ability to make recommendations to improve overall experience, efficiency and effectiveness
