FTZ Trade Management Analyst I M-F 8am-5pm UPS is seeking an experienced and dynamicForeign Trade Zone (FTZ) Coordinator for the admission, inventory control and reconciliation, withdrawal, and payment of duties for all products admitted into and withdrawn from the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). Does this sound like your ideal career opportunity? If so, we want to hear from you! The FTZ Coordinatorserves as the primary point of contact for client FTZ Administrative Operations activity. He/She interprets and implements management policies and operating practices related to FTZ operations. The FTZ Coordinator operates FTZ Inventory Control and Recordkeeping Systems by managing daily inventory balances, monitoring zone admission data, and conducting a weekly estimate (import and export) process.He/She works with clients to proactively address and resolve any inventory issues, verifies inventory transactions, including but not limited to receipts, shipments and inventory adjustments,investigates and takes action on overages and shortages, and participates in cycle counts and/or physical inventory activities on a high level but continuous basis. The FTZ Coordinator initiates customs entries, export transactions, and zone-to-zone transfers for merchandise leaving the zone. Responsibilities and Duties Manages weekly entry of products in accordance with the FDA Weekly Entry program requirements
Manages required FTZ recordkeeping retention program, ensuring all FTZ records are maintained and readily available for CBP review in accordance with the applicable recordkeeping regulations
Monitors planned client activity to ensure FTZ operations are within the approved scope
Develops, implements, and maintains internal FTZ operating procedures
Prepares and submits required daily, weekly, monthly, and annual documentation and forms to U.S.
Ensures FTZ Operations Manual is kept up to date and accurately reflects current operations and practices
Prepares the FTZ Annual Report summarizing all zone activity and files with zone Grantee
Prepares and submits annual reconciliation and annual systems review in accordance with CBP regulatory requirements
Oversees all client FTZ operations and provides zone-related services and guidance to internal and external clients.
Interacts extensivelywith clients as well as US Customs & Border Protection Knowledge and Skills Detail oriented with strong organization skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
Self-starter with ability to work under pressure while providing excellent customer service
Exercises discretion and independent judgment
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge of FTZ operations, rules, and regulations
Knowledge of Customs procedures and regulations
Knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System of the U.S., General Notes, and Explanatory Notes
Knowledge of EZ-FTZ or Integration Point FTZ Software
Bachelor's/Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Transportation, Logistics, International Business, Mathematics, or related business field - Preferred
5 years total experience in Trade Compliance, International Transportation, Logistics, Materials Management or Inventory Control, including 2 years FTZ Operations experience - Preferred
Customs House Brokers License - Preferred
