Job LocationThe Director Graduate Medical Education (GME) position is located in Indianapolis, IN. Job DutiesThe Director works in conjunction with each Graduate Medical Education (GME) program in Academic Affairs to achieve the highest quality educational environment and administrative support for the programs. This position provides a wide variety of functions that support GME in Academic Affairs. Reporting to the VP of Physician Development and Leadership Education and in conjunction with the CAO/DIO and program directors/fellowship directors, the Director manages ACGME/AOA or other accreditation requirements of all GME programs. The Director identifies, develops, and manages administrative and educational infrastructure to support network mission in medical education and research. The role develops, with others, business plans and management structures for medical education programs and central administrative functions. This position is accountable for educational performance and budgetary responsibility related to GME administrative and educational support. The Director facilitates alignment with network needs and strategic plans of the Academic Affairs department.Experience
+ Minimum of five (5) years of medical education administration experience that includes clinical, educational, evaluation, and/or research experience. Graduate medical education experience strongly preferred.
+ Experience with New Innovations, ERAS, NRMP, ACGME WebADS strongly preferred.
+ Experience in advancing education initiatives or research, grant writing, acquisition, award, management, and review preferred.
+ Experience in program evaluation and/or applied research in education preferred.
+ Experience effectively managing physician relationships and building relationships across diverse groups.
+ Financial management expertise to formulate and monitor budget in programs and central administrative GME department.
+ Experience in leadership and supervision of teams.
+ Experience in an interdisciplinary clinical education environment.
+ Experience with managing a high performance environment, requiring high availability within a high pressure environment.
+ Proven ability to execute proactive decisions using sound judgment.
Education Bachelor s degree required. Master s preferred.LicenseValid driver s license.Skills

+ Ability to create cross-reporting relationships with each GME program.

+ Ability to create clear written communication, documents, executive summaries, policies.
