Job Description
In this role you will be a part of a high:performing team dedicated to excellence in support of our customer in providing software development, systems engineering, and O and M services for a myriad of highly complex, Government:designed and Government:owned enterprise business:critical systems relating to Financial Management, Human Resources Management, Integrated Pay and Personnel Management for the USMC, Navy, and across the DoD.
As a COBOL Programmer, you will have the opportunity to analyze, design, program and test programs that support a large, complex payroll/personnel system.
:Translate verbal and written
requirements/functional specifications into effective test cases/scenarios in order to test large, complex accounting system.
:Create test cases to be used in testing business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.
:Develop and identify test data for test scenarios.
:Execute test cases and document results of the execution.
:Document defects identified during test case execution and work with developers to resolve the defects.
:Create a test plan and a test calendar to coordinate testing within the project and establish time:lines for successful completion.
:Work with client and management to resolve issues and validate requirements within their specific areas of responsibility.
:Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews of test cases, test plans, and test case execution results.
:Eight or more years of analysis, design, programming, testing, quality assurance and software process improvement experience.
:Experience with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, JCL, and Assembler.
:Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to make presentation to both technical and non:technical audiences
:Ability to work in a team environment
:Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship, eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
:Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
:Experience in complex payroll and personnel systems
:Experience with Mainframe tools like TSO/ISPF. Syncsort, File:aid, Panapt, Roscoe, Xpediter
