At Franciscan Health, our Administrative Director of Pharmacy leads multi:division strategic direction of Franciscan pharmacy operations and medication management services across the continuum of care . It provides strategic direction, oversight, and decision making for Pharmacy Services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 13;
:Lead and direct the development and execution of strategies for delivering pharmacy operations across Franciscan in order to achieve high quality, affordable health care that improves patient outcomes.
:Lead and direct a team of locally based pharmacy personnel in order to achieve consistently high levels of performance meeting operational and clinical key processes indicators.
:Assess external operational pharmacy industry trends and developments that represents risk and opportunities for the organization; develop short and long term plans to respond to potential risks and to capitalize on opportunities.
:Implement the most cost:effective organization structure for delivering integrated enterprise pharmacy services.
:Establish effective financial management for pharmacy services business lines in collaboration with the Corporate Director of Pharmacy.
:Support the implementation of all contracting decisions brought forward by Corporate Director of Pharmacy.
:Communicate within pharmacy operations community throughout the organization to ensure medication management information is shared for effective operations.
:Develop strategic plan to improve regulatory compliance, fiscal performance, pharmaceutical purchasing, business of pharmacy (e.g. retail, specialty, compounding, infusion centers), pharmacy governmental advocacy, pharmacy practice model, transitions of care, strategic planning, program growth and development, continuous improvement activities, pharmacy residency programs, pharmacy students, pharmacy technicians, outcomes disparity through Franciscan patient assistance program, and key performance indicators, benchmarks and dashboards for operational, expense and regulatory compliance excellence and wholesaler and distributor management.
:Maintain an understanding of Franciscan Pharmacy System strategies and knowledge of the marketplace and incorporates these concepts into the overall plan for pharmacy services.
:Provides pharmacy services leadership across the enterprise and is responsible for recruiting, retaining, developing and evaluating performance for all direct reports.
:Develop and implement plans to continually improve Franciscan Alliance cost position for pharmaceuticals and the delivery of pharmacy services.
:Oversee technology assessment and standardization, implementation, revision and ongoing maintenance of information technology to manage the medication use process in addition to optimization of clinical information systems to effectively manage medication use across the continuum of care. 13;
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED 13;
:Ten years prior progressive pharmacy management for multi:site or multi:discipline health system.
:Knowledge of pharmacological principles, practices and techniques needed to direct operations of the pharmacy services.
:Communication, both verbal and written, is clear, positive and professional.
:Strong leadership skills.
:Strong organizational skills. 13;
