We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated insurance professional to join our fleet marketing team. The ideal candidate should have experience building and maintaining relationships with agents with the goal of helping grow the book of business. This person would also be capable of establishing and monitoring agent sales objectives and goals within this network. This person will have excellent communication skills and develop strong relationships with all of our business partners, most critically our customers and our network of independent agents. Further, this candidate will exhibit a desire to serve our customers with a best:in:class, value:driven insurance product. Lastly, the ideal candidate will add to and bolster DMCs unique culture : a workplace built on enthusiasm, entrepreneurship, integrity, communication, proactive problem solving, and a genuine passion for helping our customers and agents.
:Work with underwriters and agents to improve our sales success ratios.
:Attend sales presentation to prospective customers and provide support to agents through the process.
:Lead or assist in the preparation of key sales proposals.
:Identify and develop a network of target prospect clients.
:Maintain strong internal relationships and understanding of the underwriting, claims and risk engineering departments.
:Participate in and exhibit at industry events (such as transportation:related trade shows).
:Report on product acceptance and provide market feedback.
:Maintain working knowledge of competition including their products and service offerings.
:Identify new product opportunities and ways to improve current product offering.
:Maintain working knowledge of industry news, trends and safety developments.
:Maintain customer and agent relationship management (CRM) data file.
:Interview and evaluate new potential agents.
:Other related duties, as assigned by management.
:5 plus years commercial insurance marketing, sales or underwriting experience. Commercial auto experience a plus.
:Be able to sell and explain complex insurance proposals.
:Available to travel up to 50 of the time and therefore the ability to work effectively from a remote location.
:Ability to understand and comprehend underwriting rating models.
:Effective communication skills with agents, customers and other stakeholders.
:Bachelors Degree required.
Professional/Masters Degree and/or advanced industry certifications strongly preferred.
:Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel).
:Must be a self:starter with ability to manage time in a fast:paced environment, prioritize critical tasks, communicate with management on status, and deliver on objectives in a timely fashion.
:Must be able to work proactively in independent settings, as well as work collaboratively with a team.
:Ability to perform standard office tasks, including prolonged computer work.
:Ability to move about customer worksites or industry tradeshows and perform customary inspection or set:up tasks.
:Must be able to regularly lift and/or carry laptop computer with associated equipment weighing about 25 poundspany Description:/h3:
